Introduction
Seldons ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website https://seldons.ai. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Non-personal data such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited
- Usage statistics collected via cookies or Google Analytics
- Technical information about your device and internet connection
How We Use Information
We use the collected information for:
- Improving our services and analyzing traffic patterns
- Serving contextual or personalized ads via Google AdSense
- Understanding how users interact with our website
- Maintaining and improving website security
What we send to an AI provider
Some tools send what you type to an AI model so it can work on it. This applies to the UTM generator and to the tools that read a product URL. The calculators and converters do not. They run entirely in your browser.
- What is sent: the text you enter in the UTM generator. For a new product URL analysis, we send the page URL and host, title, description, public text, structured data, readable review content and image URLs collected from the page. A cached result does not require another model request.
- Why: so the model can propose parameters, classify a product or list requirements.
- Who processes it: Anthropic, acting as our processor.
- Where: outside the Republic of Korea, on Anthropic's infrastructure.
- What we store: the final page URL and host, analysis result and metadata describing what was read are stored in a server cache to reduce repeated work. The cache key is a hash, but the stored result includes the readable page URL. We also record request usage. See Data Retention for the storage and cleanup details.

Ask Seldon and email subscriptions
Ask Seldon collects your topic, message, reply email address and optional name to handle your enquiry and follow up. Enquiry consent is separate from email subscription consent. Enquiries are stored on our server and sent to the operator through AWS notifications. Enquiries older than 90 days are deleted when storage cleanup runs; you can request earlier deletion. Copies delivered to the operator's mailbox are handled separately when the enquiry is resolved or deletion is requested.
Your subscription is registered when you submit the subscription form with separate consent to data collection and receiving email. No confirmation email is required. We store your email, language, consent wording version, method and time to send Seldon's insights on AI, brands and work, including new publications, speaking and related updates. Subscribing does not verify ownership of the email address. Email delivery uses AWS SES in the Tokyo region.
You can stop receiving email through the unsubscribe link in each subscription message. Unsubscribing immediately excludes the address from mail targets and removes the subscription email address. A non-reversible address identifier and minimal consent and withdrawal records remain to prevent unwanted resending. We also use a request-origin identifier to prevent abuse and repeated submissions. Subscription confirmation and unsubscribe pages do not run advertising or visitor analytics scripts.
Data Retention
We keep the following records. Cache expiry determines whether a result can be reused; it is not a promise of deletion at that moment.

Hashing a cache key does not remove the readable URL from the cached result. A cache write triggers cleanup of expired cache entries and older request records. If cleanup has not run, expired records can remain stored.
Your Rights

- Lodge a complaint with supervisory authorities
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. The last updated date will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
