How to keep UTM parameters consistent

source is the channel the traffic came from; medium is its format within that channel. Left as free text, naver and Naver get counted separately and you rebuild the report six months later. This tool forces lowercase and underscores so the naming stays single.

Put the period and the destination market in campaign — it is easier to find later, e.g. 2026_q3_us_launch. Use content only to separate creatives inside the same campaign.

What is a UTM parameter?

A UTM parameter is a tag added to a URL so analytics tools can tell where a visit came from. The five standard tags are utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term.

What is the difference between utm_source and utm_medium?

utm_source is the channel the traffic came from, such as google or naver. utm_medium is the format within that channel, such as cpc, email or banner.

Should UTM parameters be lowercase?

Yes. Google Analytics treats naver and Naver as two different sources, which splits one campaign into several rows. Use lowercase everywhere.

Is my data sent anywhere?

The campaign description you type is sent to the Seldons server so an AI can propose the parameters. Links you save are kept in your browser session only and are not stored in a database.
